Indian Prime Minister Apologies to Indians for 21-days lockdown hardships:
Indian Prime Mininster Narendra Modi apologized to the public on Sunday for enforcing a three-week national lockdown, saying that its harsh but “needed to win” this battle against the coronavirus pandemic.
“I apologise for taking these harsh steps that have caused difficulties in your lives, especially the poor people,” Modi said in his monthly address, broadcast by state radio. “I know some of you will be angry with me. But these tough measures were needed to win this battle.”
After calling lockdown order, which came to effect the 1.3 billion population of India, all the pharmacies and utility stores are open and pulic will allow to go out for their needs only. Its will be very hard but we have to fight with this.
Indian health officials have confirmed 867 cases of the coronavirus, including 25 deaths. It is spreading irresistibly in India where tens of millions of people live in urban areas where they can’t even have clean water.
This lockdown has caused many of the Indians to flee their New Dehli houses, millions of Indians who live off daily earnings out of work. Modi said on Sunday that he had “no choice but have to make these decisions to fight the coronavirus”.
The government of New Delhi and the neighbouring state of Utar Pradesh have arranged buses to bring the migrant workers back to their home villages.
