This is not the first time ARY is under backlash for its portrayal of women. The play ‘Mere Paas Tumho’ has also been criticised by its misogynistic content whereby the female lead has been shown as an evil person for choosing to leave her husband.

The dialogues in the play reek of sexism and double standard when it comes to men and women ending relationships and choosing new partner.

In the drama serial Iqra Aziz is a daughter of shopkeeper and she used to hate this and meanwhile Ahmed Ali Butt is also a very good shopkeeper and fall in love with Iqra Aziz. But Iqra don’t like because of his work shopkeeper.

He sends marriage purposal to her family, although they get married but after that Iqra’s mind play some fishy games, she tries to alligate on her husband, Ahmed Ali Butt that he beats her and torcher her on minor issues, in meantime, she falls in love with another guy whose role is played by Yasir Hussain and that’s what iqra aziz plays game as jhooti larki called jhooti drama’s named.
